THAT WOMAN IS ME: THE CHAPEL CHOIR WILL SING

Since April of 2012, American artist WILL HOLUB has been publishing his digital project THAT WOMAN IS ME, which explores gender-defining images of women in visual culture and technology. With an emphasis on cinema, THAT WOMAN IS ME also functions as a carefully researched movie database honoring the achievements of an eclectic assortment of actors, directors and cinematographers. Most images, which are presented in storyboard-like sequences, are original movie framegrab photographs that WILL HOLUB takes with a tripod-mounted camera while screening DVDs. Additional images are screen captures from streaming movies, downloads from other websites, or selections drawn from his own art and photography archives.
